DETAILS FROM SUNDAY’S WRECK ON INTERSTATE 40 NEAR KINGSTON
We now know who was involved in a two-vehicle accident on I-40 westbound of Kingston Sunday night around 9:30 on the Clinch River bridge, shutting down westbound traffic.
The THP report indicates that two vehicles were heading westbound when they crashed on the bridge. The interstate was down for about 45 minutes until the vehicles could be moved over to allow traffic to pass.
The Kingston Fire Department assisted with traffic control as well as Sheriff’s Department deputies and EMS on the scene to check out the patients. One driver in a Camaro was identified as 23-year-old Dylan Hilton. The other vehicle, a 2001 Toyota Avalon, was driven by Kenneth Hannah age 70.
Both drivers were listed as Tennessee residents. No one was injured.
