Roane County, TN- On November 16 around 8:30 AM a semi-truck was traveling east on Interstate 40 in the left lane of travel. The vehicle went over the right lane, then back into the left lane, lost control, and struck the bridge. The semi-truck came to an uncontrolled rest on Buttermilk Road, below the Interstate. The vehicle then caught on fire. The driver, Jorge Luis Leon Ramirez, age 56 died on the scene.

The passenger, 33-year-old John Michel Gogvav Leon was able to escape without injuries. Both were from Lake Worth, Florida.

According to the THP report, neither Jorge nor John were wearing their seatbelts.
