According to a report by the Tennessee Highway Patrol, on August 22, 2025, a single-vehicle crash occurred on I-40 at Mile Marker 322 in Cumberland County involving a 2017 RAM driven by Myra E. Castillo Lendos, a 46-year-old Tennessee resident. Myra was wearing a seat belt and sustained injuries, with no charges reported pending investigation.

The vehicle carried one passenger, Yosmyn Barrera Castillo, a 29-year-old Tennessee resident, who was not wearing a seat belt and was uninjured, with no charges filed. The vehicle was traveling eastbound on 140 when it ran off the roadway and overturned.

No additional vehicles or passengers were involved.
