On August 8, 2025, two separate traffic incidents occurred in Crossville.

In the first crash, a hit-and-run property damage collision took place involving two vehicles. Jerry Wayne Sanders, a 66-year-old driver with a valid license, operating a 2025 RAM 1500, failed to yield while making a left turn and collided with a 2007 Hyundai Sonata driven by Heidi Marie Williams, a 55-year-old with a suspended license. Sanders fled the scene after the impact, and no injuries were reported among the two occupants.

In the second incident, a head-on crash occurred on West Ave, resulting in suspected minor injuries for both drivers. Bruce Heggie, 53, suspected of DUI and cited for multiple violations including a seat belt infraction, drifted into the turn lane, causing the collision with Nathan Hembree, a 28-year-old driver who showed no signs of alcohol or drug use.
