DETAILS ON WEEKEND ACCIDENTS IN ROANE COUNTY
A couple of accidents were reported along I-40 over the weekend. Late Saturday night, a two-vehicle crash occurred on westbound Interstate 40 near the 351 mile marker, between the Kingston and Midtown exits, slowing traffic considerably.
The call came in around 9:15 p.m., and Kingston Fire Department first responders arrived on the scene along with two ambulances. However, no one required hospital transport; only minor injuries were reported, and the exact cause of the accident remains unknown.
Then, around 9:30 Sunday morning, another two-vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer happened near the Gallahar Road exit. One person was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
