Mike Tyson is a name that goes hand-in-hand with boxing. Punch-Out is a boxing video game synonymous with 80s Nintendo, and even features the six-time heavyweight champion right on the cover and as a hidden super-secret boss battle.

A boss battle, by the way, that is NOTORIOUS for its difficulty.

But scratch that!
Polygon reported back in 2013 that Mike Tyson can’t even beat Glass Joe!

The very first boxer the player faces, Glass Joe, is meant to be an easy introductory bout to let newbie players get familiar with the controls. Usually, most people don’t start getting a legitimate challenge until the game’s third boxer, Piston Honda.

But Mike himself couldn’t even beat a character whose very name is a pun on the term ‘glass jaw’!

Not long after, he appeared on Jimmy Fallon and got decimated by his digital avatar. And years later in 2020, Shacknews CEO Asif Khan conducted an interview where Tyson confirmed he still hasn’t beaten the game.

Here’s hoping he fares better against Jake Paul in November.
