DISCOVERY OF HEROIN RESULTS IN ARREST OF KERLEY IN CROSSVILLE
A Cumberland County deputy came into contact Saturday with 26-year-old Amelia Ann Kerley in the parking lot of Red Roof Inn.
The arrest report states Kerley acted suspiciously and allegedly handed a pack of cigarettes to a male. The officer approached the pair. After speaking with them, the deputy searched both with their consent.
The deputy reportedly found a blue straw with electrical tape wrapped around it. Inside the straw was a brown substance consistent with heroin. The officer allegedly located three folded-up pieces of paper in the cigarette pack containing heroin.
Kerley reportedly told the officer it belonged to her.
The deputy charged Kerley with the manufacture, sale, and delivery of a controlled substance.
