DRIVER ESCAPES INJURY AFTER STRIKING NATURAL GAS LINE IN CUMBERLAND CO.
A driver is lucky to escaped injury following a single vehicle accident in Cumberland County late yesterday. The Tennessee Highway Patrol says a 2005 Chevy Silverado driven by 32-year-old Steven J. McBroom of Monterey was traveling south on Highway 70 North when he ran off the road into a ditch. The truck then crossed Bell Road, struck a fence then hit a natural gas line valve. The vehicle came to rest on top of the valve. Crews were called to seal off the gas.
