DRIVER ESCAPES INJURY IN TRACTOR-TRAILER ACCIDENT ON I-40 IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY
One person escaped injury in eastern Cumberland County this morning just before 6 a.m. in a vehicle accident. Troopers say a 2012 Peterbilt tractor-trailer operated by 58-year-old Kenneth Whitson of Lindsay, Oklahoma was traveling west at the 334 mile marker on I-40 when he took evasive action to avoid striking a deer. The rig went off the road and turned over in a ditch. Whitson was restrained at the time of the crash.
