A driver escaped injury in a vehicle accident this afternoon on I-40 in Cumberland County. A 2005 Chevy Avalanche operated by 49-year-old Clinton Allen of Salem, Virginia was traveling west at the 325 mile marker when a rear tire went flat. Allen lost control of the automobile and it overturned in the right lane. He was charged with driving with no license.
