A driver escaped injury following a single vehicle accident Friday on I-40 in Cumberland County. Troopers state a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado driven by 46-year-old Crystal Jones was traveling east at the 317 mile marker when the front drivers side wheel came off the automobile. The Chevy left the roadway, went into the median and crashed into a cable barrier on the westbound side. Jones was restrained at the time. Traffic was backed up at the scene for over an hour.
