Cumberland County deputies and medics responded Wednesday to a vehicle accident on the 3600 block of Plateau Road.

The accident report released today states a 2017 Honda HRV driven by 51-year-old Martha Sue Chappell of Baxter went too fast into a curve near Moores Lane.

The vehicle left the road and struck a large tree stump.

Chappell was taken to Cumberland Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
