A tractor-trailer driver sustained injuries Sunday in a vehicle accident on I-40 in Cumberland County.

The report released today by the Tennessee Highway Patrol states a 2012 Freightliner operated by 32-year-old Zavier Jade Stewart of Texas was traveling east at the 333-mile marker and was negotiating a curve when the tractor-trailer tipped over.

The Freightliner went off the road and landed on its side.

The tractor-trailer skidded approximately 300 feet before impacting a tree.

Stewart was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries.
