A tractor-trailer accident around 5 a.m. today in western Cumberland County injured the driver. Trooper Bobby Barker says a 2017 Kenworth operated by 45-year-old Brian M. Bottoms of Antioch was traveling east at the 307 mile marker when he ran off the right side of the road, struck a guardrail and trees. The rig overturned resulting in 20,000 pounds of cooking oil spilling on the side of the interstate. Bottoms, who was restrained, was transported by ambulance to Cumberland Medical Center for treatment of injuries considered non-life threatening. He was charged with failure to maintain his lane of travel.
