A single vehicle accident in Roane County yesterday resulted in an arrest. Trooper James Capps said in his preliminary report a 2015 Ford F-150 driven by 28-year-old Jimmy Pike from Sunbright was traveling south on Highway 58 near River Road when he left the road and struck an embankment. The truck went airborne jumping over River Road and hit a utility pole. Pike fled the scene on foot and troopers say he did not check on a passenger in the vehicle, 50-year-old Franklin Blackwell of Sunbright, who was not hurt. Officers learned Pike had outstanding warrants out of Bradley County. Troopers say Pike has charges pending against him in Roane County.
