DRIVER RESCUED FROM WATER FILLED DITCH ON HWY. 70 EAST CHARGED

(FOLLOW-UP STORY) – Yesterday, 105.7 News brought you a story about a driver rescued after her vehicle went into a water filled ditch in Crab Orchard.

Now, a warrant has been signed for her arrest.

Deputies and medics responded to the scene on Highway 70 East at Cox Valley Road and discovered a car overturned in the ditch. The report states 62-year-old Diane L. Grant of Crossville was trapped inside. She was freed and while law enforcement was talking to her, they allegedly smelled an odor of alcohol coming from Grant.

She was transported to Cumberland Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. The deputy later had a warrant issued for Grant for DUI.
