DRIVER’S FOOT GETS STUCK — 2024 FORD ESCAPE ROLLS INTO POND OFF HIGHWAY 70

On November 22, 2025, at approximately 6:04 PM, Cumberland County Sheriff’s Deputy Caleb Charles responded to Highway 70 East in Crossville, for a reported single-vehicle accident.

Upon arrival, he located a 2024 black Ford Escape with its entire front end submerged in a pond adjacent to the roadway.

The owner and driver explained that she had pulled over to park and fish when her foot became stuck, causing the vehicle to roll forward into the water. No injuries were reported, and the incident was classified as a minor, non-reportable accident.

Deputy Charles confirmed she had active insurance, and she arranged for her own tow service to remove the vehicle from the pond.
