From Monroe County Sheriff Tommy Jones:

On May 19, 2025, Monroe County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in Tellico Plains after observing a subject in the vehicle with an active arrest warrant. During the traffic stop, consent was gained and a search of the vehicle yeilded myultiple illegal items, such as substances believed to be methamphetamine, xanax, and drug paraphernalia. Both driver and passenger were arrested and taken to the Monroe County Jail.

Charges Include:
Possession of Schedule II Methamphetamine (for resale)

Possession of Unlawful drug Paraphernalia

Tampering with evidence

Simple Possession (Sch IV Xanax)
