DRUG TASK FORCE OPERATION IN HARRIMAN

From the 9th Judicial Drug Task Force:

Yesterday, the 9th Judicial District Drug Task Force executed a search warrant in Harriman, Tennessee, with assistance from the Harriman Police Department, the Roane County Sheriff’s Office, and the Blount County SWAT Team. This action was part of an ongoing investigation into methamphetamine distribution.
The illegal activity involving both drugs and firearms raised serious concerns for the safety of the neighborhood. The operation was carefully planned to protect both the public and law enforcement officers. A search of the residence resulted in the discovery of a significant quantity of methamphetamine along with numerous firearms.
The Task Force remains deeply concerned about the dangers associated with methamphetamine and fentanyl. In particular, methamphetamine poses unique risks—not only because of its addictive nature, but because dealers who abuse their own supply often suffer from paranoia, insomnia, and episodes of dissociation from reality. This creates a dangerous mix that can endanger both the community and law enforcement officers.
We encourage anyone with information related to drug activity to come forward. Your awareness and cooperation can help us intervene before tragedy strikes.
The 9th Judicial Drug Task Force consists of dedicated agents and officers from the Loudon Police Department, Lenoir City Police Department, National Guard Counterdrug Unit, 9th District Attorney General’s Office and our Federal Partners.
