On Saturday, Deputy Christopher Page observed a Red GMC truck traveling southbound on TN-462 Northside Drive in Crossville, TN going 30 MPH in a 50 MPH zone and impeding the normal traffic flow.

At the intersection of Northside Drive and Sparta Hwy, the truck made a right-hand turn onto US Hwy 70 West Sparta Hwy and continued to travel between 15 mph and 20 mph below the posted speed limit.

After swerving several times over the rumble strips, Deputy Page initiated emergency equipment and performed a traffic stop on Ridgeline Drive. The driver was identified as Breanne Taylor O’Neill. Deputy Page said in his report that he immediately smelled the strong odor of alcohol on or about Ms. O’Neill’s person and observed red watery eyes.

O’Neill said she had 3 beers, and said her boyfriend was also drunk. O’Neill failed the Field Sobriety Tests and was deemed to be under the influence of alcohol and placed under arrest. O’Neill was taken to Cumberland County Jail for booking.
