DRUNK MAN CHOPS DOWN DOOR OF WRONG HOUSE

On Sunday at approximately 03:16 a.m. Deputy Brandon Griffin was dispatched to the Highway 127 North area for a Burglary in progress.
The caller told dispatch someone was at her front door attempting to break in, and when Deputy Griffin arrived he saw Isaac Campos chopping on the door with an axe repeatedly.
Griffin ordered Campos to drop the axe, who complied and was safely placed in custody. Griffin detected a strong alcohol odor on Campos who was unable to maintain his balance, slurring speech, and making statements that did not make sense.
A check through dispatch showed Campos had active bond conditions outside of Sumner County.
The caller was unable to carry on lawful activities, due to being in fear of Campos attempting to break in her residence. Campos was read a Miranda Warning, and later stated he was at a family member’s house and was mad they would not let him in. The caller did not know Campos and was not family.
Campos was arrested and charged with Aggravated Burglary, Vandalism, Disorderly Conduct, Public Intoxication, and Violation of Bond Conditions due to consuming alcohol and possessing a deadly weapon.
