DRY CONDITIONS AND NOT CONTROLLED BURNING RESULTING IN WILDFIRES IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY
Cumberland County firefighters responded to a brush fire yesterday near Dunbar Road and Clint Lowe Road.
The Crossville Fire Department assisted with extra manpower and a brush truck.
Authorities say no structures were damaged, and no injuries occurred.
The Cumberland County Fire Department says leaves and grass are very dry, and a few control burns became wildfires yesterday.
Officials remind citizens to follow state law when burning and have proper equipment ready to control the fire.
Citizens are required to obtain a burn permit until May 15, 2024.
