DUI ARREST IN ROCKWOOD AFTER DRIVING INTO A PARKED VEHICLE IN A YARD
On May 2, 2025, at approximately 7:00 a.m., a vehicle driven by David Edward Tufts, 57, veered off North Douglas Avenue in Rockwood, striking another vehicle in a yard. Rockwood police arrested Tufts, who was allegedly under the influence but sustained no injuries requiring hospitalization. After refusing medical treatment, he was taken to Roane County Jail.
Tufts faces charges including driving on a revoked/suspended license, lack of vehicle insurance, violation of the implied consent law, driving under the influence, manufacturing/delivery/sale/possession of methamphetamines, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He remains in jail with no bond set.
