DUI ARREST ON I-40

On May 10, 2025, at approximately 2:24 AM, Crossville Police Officer Jacob Ogle observed a Ford Explorer, driven by Michelle Wyatt, swerving on I-40. During a traffic stop, Officer Ogle noted Wyatt slurring her words and an odor of alcohol from the vehicle. Wyatt admitted to leaving Rumors Bar and initially refused but later agreed to perform standardized field sobriety tests.
During the tests, Wyatt exhibited signs of impairment, including lack of smooth pursuit, distinct nystagmus, and vertical nystagmus in both eyes. She struggled with the walk-and-turn test, losing balance, stepping off the line, missing heel-to-toe steps, and performing an improper turn. In the one-leg stand test, she repeatedly placed her foot down, swayed, used her arms for balance, and stopped the test briefly.
Officer Ogle arrested Wyatt for suspected DUI and transported her to Cumberland County Jail.
