While on patrol Monday in Crossville, a police officer attempted to pull over a motorist for an improper tag shown. The report states the driver, 30-year-old Willie Ashton Dyal of Crossville, jumped out of the automobile at a store on Miller Bypass and ran into a wooded area next to Martin Elementary School. Dispatch advised law enforcement Dyal had several outstanding warrants and was within a restricted range of a school being a sex offender. Dyal was captured and arrested for violation of the sex offender registry and evading arrest. This makes the 27^th time Dyal has been booked into the jail in Crossville on various offenses.
