EARLY VOTING SETTING RECORD PACE IN MANY COUNTIES

Early voting for the upcoming November 6 election is setting record paces in many counties in the state. In the first 10 days of early voting in the area, nearly 29% (28.82%) of registered voters in Cumberland County turned out. That is the fifth highest percentage in the state. That is higher than the counties that Knoxville, Nashville and Chattanooga are in. Right behind Cumberland is Roane County at sixth with 28.4 percent. Fentress County came in at 25%, Pickett, Meigs and Rhea County with 22.2%. Early voting ends at 5 p.m. this Thursday (November 1, 2018).
