Eddie Strickland, age 65, of Rockwood, passed away March 4, 2021 at his home. He was born on December 31, 1955 in Rockwood. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents: Louis and Edna Strickland; daughter: Alisha Treadway; brothers: Robert Newby, Arnold Strickland, and Chuck Srickland; and sisters: Margaret Edmonds, Edith Cline, Bonnie Lyke, and Christine Newby. He is survived by his daughters: Brittany Strickland (Dustin Morris) of Graysville, Tennessee, Shawna Cuthbert of Florida, and Jessica Zar of Alabama; son: Joseph Clark of Kansas; daughter: Carrie Clark of Knoxville; son: Jessie Edwards of Rockwood; daughter: Kaitlyn of Michigan; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; brothers: Richard Strickland of Rockwood, Danny Newby (Carla) of Crossville, and Lynn Strickland (Diane) of Rockwood; sisters: Barbara McDaniels of Rockwood and Kathy DeVincenzi (Steven) of Arizona; special friends: Jim Hill of Rockwood and Billy Edmonds of Rockwood; and girlfriend: Jo Ann Reed of Rockwood. The family will receive friends Monday, March 8, 2021 from 1 until 2 p.m. eastern in the chapel of Evans Mortuary in Rockwood. Interment and graveside service will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood. Evans Mortuary is serving the family.
