ELLIS CHARGED AFTER REPORTEDLY JUMPING IN AND OUT OF TRAFFIC

Crossville police responded early last night to the intersection of Miller Bypass and New Lantana Road to a disturbance. Officers state 29-year-old Bessie Lynn Ellis of Crossville was jumping in and out of traffic screaming at motorists. She was told by police to go to her nearby home but 15 minutes later, dispatch received at least 7 calls of Ellis repeating the act. Ellis was arrested for creating a hazardous or physically offensive condition to the public and transported to the Cumberland County jail.
