ERICA GILLEY ARRESTED ON FENTANYL CHARGES WEEKS AFTER PREVIOUS RELEASE

A 41-year-old Crossville woman is back behind bars facing drug charges following a traffic stop on Lantana Road, just weeks after a previous arrest for alleged methamphetamine offenses.
Erica Nicole Gilley was taken into custody on September 26, 2026, by Crossville Police Department Master Patrol Officer Matt Charlock. According to incident reports, officers pulled over a gray SUV after noticing a seatbelt violation and an obstructed license plate.
During the stop, officers discovered the driver was operating with a suspended license. As authorities spoke with the vehicle’s occupants, the front passenger, identified as Gilley, exhibited nervous behavior and repeatedly asked to leave to use the restroom. After officers gained consent to search, Gilley eventually admitted to having fentanyl hidden in a plastic container labeled “Watermelon.”
  • The Seizure: Officers recovered a torn and tied plastic baggie containing approximately 1.00 gram of a white powdery substance believed to be fentanyl.
  • The Charges: Gilley was booked into the Cumberland County Justice Center and charged with manufacture, delivery, sale, or possession of a controlled substance (Schedule II Fentanyl), with a bond set at $20,000.
  • Prior Record: The recent arrest comes shortly after a September 9, 2026, arrest by the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office for alleged methamphetamine possession, adding to an already extensive local court history that includes prior burglary and drug charges over the past year.
The driver was released from the scene with a warning. Gilley was served with the warrant at the intake facility and the seized narcotics have been sent to the TBI for lab testing.
