ETHAN JOHNSON ARRESTED BY U.S. MARSHALS

UPDATE: 21-year-old Ethan Johnston was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Service in Meridian, Mississippi on Wednesday afternoon. Johnston was wanted for attempted second-degree murder for an assault that happened at an apartment at Union Knoxville in the early hours of Saturday, May 24, 2025, leaving a 20-year-old woman with significant injuries to her head and neck.
Johnston was traveling on a Greyhound bus when he was located and taken into custody. He was located by members of the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Task Force, who determined his whereabouts based on a tip submitted to East Tennessee Valley Crime Stoppers that Johnston was potentially traveling by bus along the coast.
Johnston will be extradited back to Knoxville in the coming days.
