EXPERTS SAY VIRUS IS “KILLING DEER” ACROSS THE STATE
Experts say a virus is killing deer across the state of Tennessee, especially in East Tennessee. The illness, called HD is spread by biting bugs like “no-see-ums”. HD hits the deer population every year, but it’s especially bad this year in East Tennessee and surrounding states. TWRA is monitoring the situation. The virus usually peaks in mid-September and calms down as the weather cools down.
