EXTENSIVE TRAFFIC DELAYS IN BOTH DIRECTIONS ON I-40 THIS AFTERNOON

In Roane County, Interstate 40 is backed up with heavy traffic in both directions from Kingston to the I-75 split – between mile markers 353 and 365 – for roadwork. Delays are expected until about 5 p.m. Eastern Time. Alternate route: Highway 70.
