Law enforcement agencies across the state, including in Cumberland and Roane County, will take part in a “40 on 40” saturation campaign on Interstate 40 for Memorial Day weekend. It will start at 2 p.m. tomorrow (Friday, May 28, 2021) and end at 11:59 p.m. Monday, May 31, 2021. Officers will be looking for drivers under the influence of alcohol or drugs, speeders and reckless motorists. In addition, city and county officers will be out in extra numbers on patrol on highways and secondary roadways.
