F.G.D.P. OFFICERS GRADUATE COUNTY’S FIRST LAW ENFORCEMENT E.M.R. CLASS

From the Fairfield Glade Police Department:
Fairfield Glade, TN – The Fairfield Glade Police Department is proud to announce significant progress in the implementation of its groundbreaking Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) Program.
On September 10, 2025, three Fairfield Glade Police Department officers—Officer Brendel, Officer Murphy, and Officer VanTrump—graduated alongside Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office deputies in the county’s first Law Enforcement EMR certification class. This milestone was achieved after completing rigorous classroom instruction and in-field training with Cumberland County EMS. All graduates are now officially certified through the State Registry.
On September 25, 2025, the Fairfield Glade Police Department signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Cumberland County Mayor Allen Foster, marking one of the final steps toward fully deploying this life-saving program.
This initiative would not have been possible without the leadership, partnership, and support of the Fairfield Glade Community Club Board of Directors, General Manager Bill Ward, Mayor Allen Foster, EMS Director Chris Miller, Sheriff Casey Cox, and Dr. Wojcik.
The EMR program exemplifies how Cumberland County agencies come together to strengthen public safety and enhance emergency response. By equipping police officers with advanced medical training, the program ensures faster on-scene care, saves lives, and prepares first responders to meet the needs of a growing community.
The Fairfield Glade Police Department remains committed to expanding this program and continuing its mission of service and safety.
