FAIRFIELD GLADE WOMAN REPORTS CREDIT CARD FRAUD

On April 1, 2025, a woman reported an unauthorized transaction on her Chase Bank card to the Fairfield Glade Police Department. She had arrived in town from California the previous night to visit her parents.
She received a message from her bank about a $53.94 transaction at a Walmart in Crossville, which she denied making. She noted that she primarily uses the card for gas purchases and had last used it in California, leaving it there.
The bank informed her that they were investigating the charge and advised her to follow up in two weeks. The woman recalled a gas purchase made the previous month at Food City Gas’N Go but had not used the card recently otherwise.
Deputy Fatima Pena documented the incident and advised the woman to provide updates as new information became available.
