FALL CREEK FALLS AREA BOIL WATER NOTICE LIFTED

From Fall Creek Falls State Park:
Update:
We are pleased to report that the boil water notice is no longer in effect for Fall Creek Falls State Park, meaning boiling water before use is no longer necessary.
The Fall Creek Falls Utility District reports, “Lines have been flushed and tested; all tests proved negative in all bacteriological testing. These types of tests are routine to correct an issued Boil Water Notice; the negative test results show that no contaminants entered or remained in the water system.”
ORIGINAL STORY:
A boil water notice is still in effect for Fall Creek Falls State Park and the surrounding community. The recommendation is to boil tap water for at least 3 minutes before using it to drink, cook with, or brush your teeth with.
The bathhouses, restrooms, and restaurant are now open. Please be conservative with your water use as we attempt to get back into operation while filling the park tanks. You will most likely experience irregularities of water pressure.
