FALLEN BLUE ANGEL PILOT HONORED IN HIS HOME STATE OF COLORADO
The pilot of a crashed Blue Angel jet that was recently honored in Tennessee is also being honored in his native state of Colorado. Capt. Jeff Kuss was killed while practicing for a show in Smyrna in June 2016. Memorial signs were placed along Highway 3 near his hometown of Durango Monday. An investigation revealed that Capt. Kuss was traveling too fast during the drill when he lost control and failed to recover because he was too low for the maneuver.
