FAMILIAR SEX OFFENDER TO AUTHORITIES ARRESTED AGAIN NEAR PEAVINE ROAD AND I-40
A sex offender very familiar to law enforcement in Crossville was arrested again last night. Police stopped a motorist on the east bound on ramp of I-40 at Peavine Road in a Toyota pickup for having a headlight out. A check of the driver, Willie Ashton Dyal, revealed he was in a vehicle not registered with his parole office. The report states the tag came back to a different automobile. Dyal was charged with violation of the sex offender registry and driving on a suspended license as well as issued two traffic citations. The sheriff’s office says this makes the 24th time the 29-year-old Dyal has been booked into the jail on charges ranging from aggravated burglary to rape of a child. He was ordered onto the state sex offender registry and classified as violent against children following his 2012 conviction of criminal attempt to commit aggravated sexual battery.
