FAMILY ESCAPES HOUSE FIRE ON BRANCH ROAD
Dunlap, Tennessee volunteer firefighters responded yesterday to a structure fire on Branch Road. Sheriff deputies arrived first and found the residence fully involved with the roof starting to collapse. The occupant of the dwelling was asleep and was awoken by her brother. They escaped with no injuries. The blaze appeared to have started in the room where a wood stove was being used. A pet rabbit inside the home did not survive. The owner did not have insurance and the American Red Cross was called for assistance. The home was a total loss.
