FATAL CRASH IN ANDERSON COUNTY
BBBTV12 – A 2017 Ford Mustang left the road and crashed in the early hours of Sunday morning, resulting in the death of the vehicle’s driver, according to a preliminary report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred around 1:34 a.m. on April 20 in the 600 block of Norris Freeway in Anderson County. The driver, identified as Isaac Matchett of Tennessee, was fatally injured in the crash. No other individuals or vehicles were involved, according to the report.
The THP investigation indicates that the Mustang was traveling eastbound when it entered a curve, crossed the double yellow line, struck a guardrail, then continued over an embankment where it collided with a tree before coming to rest.
No charges are pending at this time, and the report notes that the investigation is ongoing.
