Emergency management and response personnel from multiple federal, state, and local agencies—including the Department of Energy, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and the Y-12 National Security Complex—will conduct a joint emergency exercise on Tuesday, August 25.

Residents near the Y-12 site may notice simulated response activities, monitoring, and sampling as part of the drill. These exercises are routinely held to test response times and ensure the continued safety of employees, the public, and the environment.
