Cumberland County deputies responded yesterday to a home on the 300 block of Dallas Smith Road to a physical altercation involving a knife.

The arrest report states the male victim told officers he went into the residence to get some tax documents from his wife, 63-year-old Charlotte Renea Hyder.

She reportedly told him to leave, which he refused.

Hyder allegedly got up off the couch, grabbed a kitchen knife, and threatened to cut him.

Deputies say Hyder cut the victim on the right hand and stomach area.

Hyder told officers she cut him after he reportedly pushed her down on the couch.

The knife was seized by law enforcement and placed into evidence.

Hyder was arrested for felony aggravated assault.
