FENTRESS COUNTY NARCOTICS INVESTIGATION LEADS TO ARREST OF CLARKRANGE MAN

The Fentress County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Clarkrange man following a narcotics investigation conducted by the Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit. Investigators conducted a narcotics operation at a residence located on Tinch Ford Road in Clarkrange as part of an ongoing investigation into illegal drug activity. Investigators completed a controlled purchase of illegal narcotics from James E. Robertson. As a result of the operation, The Sheriff’s Office recovered approximately 1.2 grams of methamphetamine, approximately 0.7 grams of suspected heroin, and approximately 10 grams of marijuana. Based on evidence obtained during the investigation, arrest warrants were issued. On Monday, February 9, 2026, Investigators with the Fentress County Sheriff’s Office served an arrest warrant on Robertson at his residence. Robertson was taken into custody without incident. During a search conducted during the arrest, Deputies located approximately 0.7 grams of a substance consistent with fentanyl located in Robertsons pocket. Robertson was transported to the Fentress County Jail, where he was booked on multiple drug-related charges.
