FENTRESS COUNTY PREPARES FOR TRUCK SHOW WITH TRAFFIC PLAN (MAP INSIDE)

From the Fentress County Sheriff’s Office:
As we prepare for this weekend’s Truck Show Event, we want to share an update on the traffic plan and safety measures in place.
The map below shows event traffic in red and local traffic routes in green. Myself and others have placed clear signage along the roadways marking event routes and local traffic only areas to help everyone move safely and efficiently.
Our goal is to direct show traffic primarily along Highway 127, keeping it open and passable for our local residents. There will be volunteers directing traffic throughout the area, and both the Fentress County Sheriff’s Office and Tennessee Highway Patrol will be enforcing traffic laws to maintain safety for everyone.
With this event, we’re expecting to nearly double the population of our county, so we’ve taken extensive measures to ensure things run smoothly. Extra deputies will be on duty, and we’ll be working closely with EMA, EMS, Fire, and Rescue to handle any situation that may arise.
We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation as we welcome visitors to Fentress County for this exciting event. Please drive carefully, follow posted signs, and let’s all work together to make this a safe and successful weekend.
— Chief Deputy Hunter Fowler
Fentress County Sheriff’s Office
