FENTRESS COUNTY SOBRIETY CHECKPOINTS SET FOR NEXT WEEK ON FRIDAY NIGHT

The Fentress County Sheriff’s Department, in collaboration with the Tennessee Highway Safety Office, will conduct sobriety checkpoints across the Fentress County area on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m. The initiative aims to remove impaired drivers from the roadways and enhance public safety.
Potential checkpoint locations include US 127/62, West Rock Quarry Road, and Clark Range Estates Road, with officers placing particular emphasis on identifying and addressing those who choose to drink and drive.
The effort is supported by a grant from the Tennessee Highway Safety Office, which funds officers’ overtime, and organizers emphasize that collective cooperation can help eliminate impaired driving on local roads.
