Fentress County Schools has said that Allardt, Pine Haven, and York Elementary Schools will remain under a soft lockdown for the rest of the school day. Although all students are safe, additional precautions are being taken during dismissal. School staff will personally walk every student to their designated cars and buses. Parents and guardians should expect delays in the usual dismissal times due to these enhanced safety measures.

Additionally, a responsible adult must be present to meet children when they arrive home on the buses this afternoon. The schools appreciate families’ patience and cooperation while they prioritize the safety of all students and staff.
