FIRE DESTROYS HOME ON HIGHWAY 70 EAST IN CROSSVILLE; VIDEO OF FIRE IN STORY

Last night, Crossville firefighters responded around 8 p.m. to a structure fire at 1137 Highway 70 East.

Crews arrived to find the abandoned home engulfed in flames.

Crossville Fire Chief Chris South told 3B Media News firefighters were unable to make entry to battle the blaze because of heavy fire conditions and possible collapse hazards.

Chief South said the building was destroyed.

Authorities say the residence had a history of being a narcotics house.

No injuries were reported.

The fire has been ruled suspicious in origin and is under investigation.

Highway 70 East at the scene was closed for around 4 hours.
