Crossville police recently responded to Goodwill on North Main Street after an employee found a firearm in a suitcase donated.

Officers checked the serial number on the 9mm handgun. It showed it was not stolen.

Authorities were reviewing video footage to see if they could identify the individual who dropped off the suitcase. As police were working to do this, Goodwill staff informed them they could no longer watch the footage and that the company loss prevention would contact them.

Officers left the scene.
