Cumberland County firefighters, along with mutual aid from the Crossville Fire Department, responded before sunrise this morning to Royal Oak charcoal plant on Highway 70 North for a fire in a silo. Around 8:10 this morning, fire crews announced the blaze was out and they were remaining on scene for a while to make sure the fire stayed extinguished. Royal Oak officials told 105.7 News that the situation is under control and they are assessing the damage to the silo. No injuries were initially reported.
