FIREFIGHTERS RESCUE DOG IN BLAZE ON PEAVINE FIRETOWER ROAD

Cumberland County firefighters responded to a blaze on Peavine Firetower Road just before 5 a.m. this morning. They arrived to find a building 80 to 90 percent involved. During the battle of the fire they rescued a dog from inside and pulled it to safety. The dwelling had a single occupant who was not home at the time. It was a total loss and a cause is being determined. No injuries were reported.
